DETAILS OF APPLICATION
Application for a premises licence under section 17 the Licensing Act 2003 (“the Act”).
APPLICANT Christopher Yates, Glassenbury Hall Farm, Glassenbury Road, Cranbrook, Kent. TN17 2QF
1. Details of the application
The premises are three adjacent fields which lie to the west of Aveley Road next to a strip of land used for light aircraft, and the application relates to an event which will run from the 8th June 2012 to 10th June 2012 inclusive.

2. Promotion of the Licensing Objectives
The applicant completed the operating schedule, which formed part of the application to promote the four licensing objectives. The Applicant also provided the Event Safety Guide and Production Manual, a comprehensive document which also formed part of the application.
The applicant acted in accordance with premises licence regulations 25 and 26 relating to the advertising of the application. The required newspaper advertisement was installed in the Yellow Advertiser on Wednesday 8th February 2012. Public notices were displayed around the site on the sides accessible to the public as agreed with the Licensing Officer.
3. Details of Representations
Valid representations may only address the four licensing objectives
There were three valid written representations against this application from interested parties. The representations outlined issues relating mainly to the licensing objective the prevention of public nuisance and public safety.
Councillor Linda Van den Hende attended the hearing, and expressed concern that the camp site which formed part of the application would generate noise and cause a disturbance to the local residents. There was also concern that the lighting to be erected by the applicant around the site would also cause a nuisance to local residents. She also expressed reservations regarding the access, of which there was only one off Aveley Road, to provide ingress and egress.
