The Corporate complaints policy was noted and understood by the Panel.

EXCLUSION OF THE PUBLIC

The Committee resolved to exclude the public from the meeting during discussion of the following item on the grounds that if members of the public were present it was likely that, given the nature of the business to be transacted, that there would be disclosure to them of exempt information within the meaning of paragraph 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972 which could reveal information relating to an individual.

STAGE 3 BRIEFING FOR MEMBERS REVIEW PANEL - ENQ-03829-Y0Y1

Members were reminded that Panels had two options under the new process: Consider the complaint and reach a decision at this meeting or adjourn and reconvene for a formal hearing.

After careful consideration the Panel decided unanimously not to refer the complaint to a formal hearing. The complainant would be notified in writing regarding all the details of the decision.
