To approve as a correct record the Minutes of the meeting of the Committee held on 31^st August 2021 and authorise the Chairman to sign them.

The minutes of the previous meeting were agreed as a correct record.

The Sub-Committee were presented with the Quarter 2 2021/22 performance report.

The Sub-Committee noted direct payments were on target at 35.1% which was an increase on quarter 2 in 2020/21 but a decrease on q1 in 2021/22. Members noted that admissions to care homes had increased to 352.6 per 100,000 with a higher percentage of admissions where the ethnicity is not known.

It was explained to members that isolation guidelines had not affected business continuity in the adult social care service of the Council as although more people were contracting COVID-19, as the new variant was less severe, staff were returning to work quicker. The Sub-Committee requested for the Clerk to contact the relevant Cabinet member to advise them of the effect of isolation on staff and adult care services.
