Outside body

The Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education is a statutory body that exists :

i)                    To advise the Local Education Authority upon such matters connected with religious worship in county schools and the religious education to be given in accordance with an agreed syllabus as the Authority may refer to the Council or as the Council may see fit.

ii)                  To carry out the functions conferred by statute on Standing Advisory Councils on Religious Education;

iii)                To consider complaints relating to religious worship in accordance with statutory requirements.
