Approval to submit funding application to the local Clinical Commissioning Group to cover the Council's costs related to supporting the ongoing rollout of the national COVID-19 vaccination programme and to implement the Council's support activities
The Leader of the Council is asked to approve the request for funding from the Clinical Commissioning Group for unfunded costs solely in support of Covid-19 vaccine deployment. This is a decision made by way of Special Urgency.

This decision will be taken under urgency procedures.
Reason for urgency:
This decion is made using the Special Urgency Provisions as the decision is necessary to implement support for the vaccination programme as soon as possible.
This will support the national effort to roll out the vaccine programme and enable continued relaxation of the restrictions currently in place.
Any delay likely to be caused by the notice period on the Council’s Forward Plan and as part of the call in process would seriously prejudice the public interests.
The decision is urgent and cannot reasonably be deferred and the Chair of the Overview and Scrutiny Board has given his consent to proceed on that basis.
