Reason for urgency:
the School Streets programme has been out to consultation. A decision is now needed urgently to enable the schemes to be in place for September and to ensure this is done with the benefit of funding from TfL which would be lost if the decision is delayed. The Chair of the overview and Scrutiny Board is in agreement that this matter is urgent and cannot reasonsabley be deferred.

All schools suitable for a school street and key stakeholders have been consulted. All Members were consulted prior to agreement for School Streets. Consultation with Council services and residents has also taken place.
