2. DELEGATED authority to the Assistant Director of Planning and Public Protection following consultation with the Leader of the Council to approve changes to the wording and content of the Local Development Scheme as required.

The principal policy document is the Local Plan.  The current Local Plan was adopted in 2021 following examination by an independent planning inspector.  The Inspector found the Local Plan sound and allowed the Council to adopt the plan subject to an immediate review.  The LDS 2023-2025 sets out the timeframe for the production of an updated Local Plan and supersedes the previous LDS (2021).
