Report of Governance Committee - Constitution Review – Planning, Pensions and Various Parts. Appointment of the Independent Person on Audit Committee:
Recommendation 1 (Approval of Amendments to Constitution) AGREED by 48 votes to 3 with 0 abstentions.
Recommendation 2 (Size of membership of new Planning Committee) AGREED by 39 votes to 10 with 4 abstentions.
Recommendation 3 (Amendment to start time of Council meetings AGREED by 46 votes to 5 with 2 abstentions.
Recommendation 4 (Delegation of authority to make consequential changes to Constitution) AGREED by 53 votes to 0 with 0 abstentions.
Recommendation 5 (Delegation of authority re appointing Independent Person on Audit Committee) AGREED by 53 votes to 0 with 0 abstentions.
Councillor Kevin Ayres ELECTED as Chairman of the new Planning Committee by 41 votes to 12 for Councillor John Tyler with 0 abstentions.
