Bretons Manor House, Tudor barns, outbuildings and walled garden - Applications for Grant Funding

The Leader of the Council will be asked to approve an application for funding to support the regeneration of the Bretons Manor House, Tudor barn, outbuildings and walled garden. The application is for funding amounting to £4m to Heritage Lottery Funding (approximately £2m for ‘Heritage Grants’ and for £2m for ‘Heritage Enterprise Grants’) to assist with the proposed regeneration project for Bretons Manor House, Tudor barns, outbuildings and walled garden.

Decision type: Key

Reason Key: Expenditure > £500,000;

Decision status: Recommendations Approved

Notice of proposed decision first published: 17/04/2018

Reason for urgency:
This matter is being added by way of general exception as the full 28 day period of notice is not being given. This is because a decision is needed to meet deadlines which if not met will mean that possible grant funding will be lost. This will not be in the best interests of the Council or residents who will benefit from this development. There is no Cabinet meeting until June 2018 and therefore a decision is being requested from the Leader of the Council.
